22nd January - are you depressed today?

Postby Niki » Mon Jan 22, 2007 10:28 am

Apparently we should all feel more depressed today as 22nd January has 'statistically' been shown to be the date when you get bills in from overspending at Christmas, have not succeeded in your New Years resolution and are fed up with the weather (in the UK).

I am really fed up with the weather here - rain, force gale winds, mud everywhere are I am also fed up with the greyness that the UK has that seems to go on forever. Maybe we could arrange it so Cyprus could have some of the rain here.

Anyway - life goes on!!! :D

Did you asked them to bring you lots of Molohiya / Moloha.?

Don't worry with the US Customs. I use to bring it all the time, in the past.

That's great Andri. How often do you get to see them?

Believe it or not, Mrfromng sent me a load of Moloha so I didn't ask for any of that. I did ask however for halloumi and commandaria . I cant wait till they are here, I am very excited and so is Eleni. Unfortunately, she has seen my mother more times than she has Charlie's and she lives only 1 1/2 hrs away...

I used to see them every year, but its been 2 since last time. The army always finds an excuse to not give my brother the vacation to come.

I would be very surprised if the US Customs would allow Dairy Products to be brought into the USA. They will have to declare all Dairy Products on their Custom form, and when they do, they will for sure will need to open their bags for inspection.

You may want to check with the Customs Department in the USA, before they come, to make sure. I hate to see good Halloumi to be thrown into the trash.

Soooooorrry.

Kikapu, they have always brought me halloumi. As long as it is sealed properly everything is fine. They come through Chicago where there are a lot of Cypriots, therefore halloumi is kind of known to the customs people. If they have a problem this time I will of course let you know :)
