...but not nearly enough. I measured a total of 8.4 mm and we would need 30 more days like that just to touch the annual average and 50 more days to reduce the need for water restrictions. Just as a reminder, I'm at 175 mm since 1 October (mostly in October) and I count on an annual average of about 400 mm where I am. We need at least 500 mm to fill the dams. We are a LONG way from there and it looks more and more likely that we'll have a summer of severe restrictions.
My weather site forecast says "increasing clouds with little temp. change. precipitation possible within 24 to 48 hrs", but I wouldn't hold my breath too long: I doubt whether there will be any precipitation in that time scale. I hope it is more accurate than my gut feeling!
