Flights from Birmingham or Manchester to Paphos in April

Postby simonwjones » Sun Jan 21, 2007 12:05 am

Hello All

I'm trying to find flights to goto Cyp in April/May time. The flights I have found so far a near £200-£280 per person (return)

Does anyone know who offers cheap flights at all?

I might just have to wait nearer the time or do a heavy duty search for cheap flights by varying dates etc

www.TravelSupermarket.com Is what i use and i think's one of the best. They compare loads of airlines for ya...Sometimes they can be quite cheap.. but like ya said depends on what dates ya going..But watch out some go more expensive closer to the date and some do go abit cheaper.

www.flythomascook.com they can SOMETIMES be cheap, but watch out they add on money for ya baggage too.

I hope that helps in some way lol.

Hi
Try XL.com they go from Manchester. We got flights from birmingham to pafos for £149 each return, but it was for begining of October 07.
They fly Wednesdays and Sundays from Manchester.
Hope you find this useful. I know flights can be silly prices sometimes and not necessarily cheaper leaving it closer to the time of travel!

Everyone complains aboiut the price of air travel - which typically works out at just 17p/mile, but they will gladly stand all the way on the train to the airport, without complaint, despite the fact that rail travel typically works out at 68p/mile.
Can anyone tell me why??

Hey jane12 !!!, that's out of order, I know an old geezer who moans about everything and it doesn't matter whether he's sitting or standing, it's not the money you see, it's just the joy of a good old grumble, you should try it some time, it can be quite amusing.

Well jane12 its not moaning!!
If the airways can charge for example £149 why do they charge £500 (or more) for the same flight! Its called "ripping you off" and this is why we all USUALLY look for the cheapest flights!
I could give you loads of web addresses for expensive flights if you don't mind paying for them!
No we're not moaning its called using your brains! Unless you have money to give away of course, if this is the case...... can i be your friend :)

Just checked Manchester to Paphos using Skyscanner for 22nd April to 5th May. They came up with GBP151.63. As usual that is about 30+ pounds MORE than British Airways. Also, BA is a scheduled carrier so you have more rights and more comeback if things go pear-shaped!!!

I wasn't complaining, or siding with one or the other... I'm just curious why people accept sub-standard travel conditions without complaint until - and only until, they step into an airport.

I can shed some light on the vast difference in fares for the same flight actually. To make a profit (which is why the airplane is flying in the first place) the seats are divided into 'lots'. Each 'lot' has it's own particular fare, starting from cheap to expensive. As the cheapest seats or fares are taken, then the airline moves on to sell the next 'lot' for which the fare is higher. You can of course be lucky, and turn up on the day you want to travel, and find a seat in the lower fare 'lot' still available, or you can be unlucky and find all the cheapest fares gone weeks in advance. From London to Larnaca, I've paid between 70quid and 400quid, and to be honest.. I've found BA to be routinely cheaper than Cyprus Airways.

Before you all start on me..... NO, I don't work for BA or any other carrier that services Cyprus!!
