Yes Bananiot, you are absolutely correct! That is why I propose that the TCs should not be expected to live and share the same country with the murderous, deceiving, untrustworthy and dishonest GCs, that did all these crimes against the innocent TCs in the past! That is why, for the sake of the innocent TCs, and so that they will not suffer again an annihilation campaign in the hands of the barbarian GCs, the two communities should each take their corner of the island, so that they will be able to live alone and separately from each other, for ever! That is why I propose that the TCs should be rightfully granted their independence and sovereignty in the 18% of the island, because that was their population and property ownership ratio in Cyprus for the last 100 years.

Sounds like someone is upset that the truth about us TCs being forced out of the joint government and that EOKA A and B were both after ENOSIS by attempting to eliminate/genocide us TCs has been confirmed by the GCs themselves.

I am just wondering what stupid excuses the lying Greeks and GCs of this forum will find to "ridicule" this admission that the Akritas plan existed and is still in force.

You see, even Eric KapaDayi is happy and agrees with Bananiot's assessment!

The Turkish invasion of Cyprus (Turkish:Kıbrıs Barış Harekatı - Cyprus Peace Operation) is the Turkish military action starting on July 20, 1974 following a coup by the Cypriot National Guard against the Makarios III, President of Cyprus with purported aim to save the Turkish Cypriots from the EOKA organization and restore constitutional order.
Though Turkey had consistently refused to recognize Makarios or his Government as legitimate, it claimed that under the provisions of the 1960 Treaty of Guarantee which provided that Greece, Turkey and United Kingdom would ensure the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Cyprus, it had the right to take unilateral military action purportedly to restore constitutional order. No international body or organ has recognised this position.
Today, Turkey states that in 1963 the Republic of Cyprus had collapsed, however claims that the Treaty of Guarantee of 1960, gave her the right to intervene as a guaranteeing power in 1974. Article Four of the Treaty of Guarantee states that: "each of the three guaranteeing Powers reserves the right to take action with the sole aim of re-establishing the state of affairs created by the present Treaty.”
Article Four of the Treaty of Guarantee refers to the right of intervention, however it does not refer to military intervention because according to the United Nations Charter, no state has the right to intervene militarily in another state without the consent of the UN Security Council.[

DT

I still don't understand. How is it that all the partionists agree with Bananiot despite all his vision for a unified island?

That is a silly thing to say DT, by your standards. I suppose you agree with me that the biggest partitionist on the other side is Rauf. Yet he was a staunch adversary to the Annan Plan, because he thought that accepting it would mean the end of Turkish Cypriots. You were also an adversary to this plan, along with many others. Will I be justified if I extrapolated using your insinuation, to suggest that you and Denktash think alike?

On the other hand, I consider GR and his likes to be great partitionists. Striving now for a unitary state that goes beyond the 1960 agreements and ditching our signatures of 1977 and 1979 (like we did in 1963) would sure as hell result in partition.

A very sensible comment. After 50 years of hostility (ignore whose fault) TCs are not going to vote for a unitary government which actually means a GC government.
