Yep!

Not really. There are a lot of brits where they live. Actually that annoyed me a bit when I visited - why do I want to go to cyprus to hang around with a load of (old aged
) brits?!
Sometimes my Mum finds it a bit difficult because she is away from the family out there. Also she is not so keen on the heat when it gets
very hot and tends to visit back to the UK in august time.
Other than that, the only things they don't like are when there are problems as a result of the differences in the services kind of thing. For example, when the power goes off a lot or when the water goes off, or the other day when they nearly ran out of bottled gas for the heating, or when they forgot all the shops shut for epiphany etc. etc. They moan about that sort of thing!
Then there is the occasional "you wouldn't get that in England" like the other day, we found loads of bugs in a packet of spaghetti and then a load of ants came in the kitchen (all in mid-winter as it is too warm in summer for them, apparantly). But then that is more a case of "there is a price to pay for everything" i.e if you want hot days and lots of sun, you've got to put up with lots of mozzys and flies etc.
Anyway, when I was a kid we used to live in the middle east and things like that were much worse there (heat, environment etc.). I guess they forget that. And you used to get massive camel spiders over there, as big as a cat almost they were! and they used to run at top-whack across our back garden (which was actually just a load of sand with a fence round it. It was all one big desert out there. Nice though).
