Street Racer, I am not sure as to it's ownership, I do know that they operate a public facility both in the 'Gliding and Parachuting' activities and I suspect it may well be under some military supervision due to it's close proximity to barracks etc, however, a quick phonecall might be useful to you.

Further information for you Street Racer, the runway is O6 and 24, it is easily accessible from Limassol and quite close to the motorway turn-off (about 1 Km), it would be about 85 Kms from Limassol but motorway all the way.

Have a look at:
http://www.rafakrotiri.co.uk/crusaders/index.html

This is the site for the RAF GSA gliding club. It's military and is used mainly for skydiving and gliding, but is kept as a reserve field for the RAF.

The club seem friendly, and I intend to fly with them when I'm over in feb.
But if it's for non aviation use, then I wouldn't hold out much hope.

That's the only GA size strip that I know of..

Thanks Andy.

I did not think that non military personel were allowed on any of the bases without prior permission and or passes.

That would present a logistical nightmare to organise on a casual visitor basis where hopefully several thousand people were expected to turn up.

I will of course contact them and see what they say.

Meanwhile I'm happy to follow up any leads from anywhere?

Thanks again.
