They are already occupying them for the last 32 years, have tried to erase any evidence of our historical and cultural presence there, and they want to hold a foot on them for ever! Until a couple of years ago, they and their agents among you, Mr. Denktash and CIA, were claiming that the Cyprus problem was solved in 1974, once and for good and for ever. No?

i believe we still have plenty of your ancient buildings all over the north and untouched, bit like our mosques on your side, who we hear, have been "very well taken care of" and i am not aware that mr denktash was workign along with the cia (!!) and need to see your sources about that, specially when im pretty sure that america was one of the main obstacles for turkeys will to save the turks from a handfull of facist Greeks who decided that, political mesures were not "swift" enough in disinfecting the island from the "barbarian turks" and that matter had to be taken "to their own hands", i believe you ended up executing the mastermind of this disgusting plan yourself no?

Shahmaran, lets cut a long story short, so that we do not waste each other’s time! Since you believe that Turkey came and saved you, the Turks, “from a handful of fascist Greeks who decided that, political measures were not "swift" enough in disinfecting the island from the "barbarian Turks" and that matter had to be taken "to their own hands," by ethnically cleansing us -the Greek Cypriots- from the north and usurping all our properties and our cultural heritage there, and disconnecting in this way our more than 3,500 years historical presence from this part of our country; then what on earth are you on this forum, trying to talk with us? Since you have been saved already, and have taken 37% of Cyprus under your “control” and claim its ownership now, why do you waste your time in the forums, and do not just seat back and continue enjoying the spoils of your victorious war, without paying attention to what we do or say? Why are you here, wasting your time with us?

well Kifeas, i was just being blunt in return to your blunt comments, we both know its not so simple.

you might not be good warriors but ure definately great at whinging and propaganda and in simple terms plain bullshit! so i thought ill get a piece of the action here, since im not going to travel all the way south to get to chat to anyone about these issues, also i wanted to see if there are any greeks out there with a non objective view on the subject coz its hard to find one these days on the streets,

i believe i am able to take a more objective look on things, compared to most of my turkish brothers and the elderly who had 1st hand experiences of the atrocities. however i have been more on the defensive side here due to the amount of lovely responses i got in my 1 day of being here so i do appologize.

back to your point im never going to feel sorry for your "ethnic cleansing" because i dont think its not anywhere nearly comparable to "genocide" so again in simple terms for you, tough shit you lost your house and you lovely garden but you brought it up onto yourselves. therefore if there is any middle ground to be found between us, greeks better start accepting the evil they have done as well as the turks, and then we can start to negotiate.

im just sick and tierd of hearing over and over again the same crap from ignorant ppl about how the greeks are soooo innocent and that the cypriots where sooo happy together, there was no need for turkey and that turkey is the root of all evil. you know its nothing but tales coz i assume ure old enough, and if your not then i suggest u get both sides of the story straight.
