Still furnishing our place in Dherynia and I am trying to find somewhere close to buy a few large pictures / paintings. The sort of thing that IKEA stocks. We have bought some there and carried them from England but I need a few (at reasonable cost) that would be too large for underarm transport.

Real paintings by artists. Or copies? You said IKEA so I guess that means really cheap?

No I don't mean really cheap and I don't mean real paintings either. There is a middle road. decent prints or photos even. Say up to around 40 CYP.

Why do people always assume IKEA to be 'really cheap'. I think that the number of stores all over Europe (and Nicosia soon) is testament to their quality and prices.

40 is cheap compared to real paintings by an artist. I just wanted to know what you are after. I think Debenhams has a department with posters, frames and those kind of things at that price range and cheaper.

Too bad I am so far away kempes. We had a "starving artist show" this weekend with sofa size painting at $19 and nothing over $59. They had some really beautiful stuff...

If they sell their art for so cheap it is no surprise that they are starving

Just the canvas and paint worths more than $19! They could make more profit by using their time to collect coins from the street or something :P ;)
