Yiannakis

It is much more exspensive to live here and a much lower quality of life You say taxes are killing you well wait till you get here and see how it compares even with lower taxes You say oz is becoming like America well you are right ( in my opinion the same as america)but if you think Cyprus is differnt you are dead wrong (all my rellie's buy macca's and pizza hut) My advise is come on a trial, if it works stay but dont burn bridges in oz BTW you need a degree in any dicipline to get a job here if you want to sell sandwiches or better

Yiannakis, I too lived in Australia for many years and returned home early in 2002.

In Australia you get higher wages/salaries than here, BUT your day to day living expenses in Cyprus are far lower.

Overall, I find that the standard of living between the two countries is very similar. In fact I feel more secure in Cyprus!

Nicosia has just opened a huge brand new high-tech state hospital so they need people like you.

Come home now!!! :)

Yiannakis, People can live on £500 a month, others need £5000 a month. That all depends on your type of lifestyle. The only advice I can give you (from personal experience) if you are going to do it, then do it now, before the children get older. In ten years time it will be very difficult for them.
