This thread must've suddenly become airborne, as it's now all going straight over my head :P

Think I'm going to have to go for a lie down after all this....

I found plenty of references to the speech or speeches by Ahmadinejad . I find it quite annoying when someone posts some unsabstuntiated crap on the forum like you did on the interpretaion in order to suit your own prejudices against America.

This is just one of them.
Find much more on Google >wikipedia.

"""Iran leader's comments attacked

Mr Ahmadinejad warned Muslim leaders not to recognise Israel
The European Union and Russia have joined condemnation of the Iranian president's public call for Israel to be "wiped off the map".
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's remark has already been condemned by individual EU states and Canada who all summoned Iranian diplomats for an explanation.

A top Israeli minister called for Iran to be expelled from the United Nations.

The White House said the comment showed the US was right to be concerned about Iran's nuclear programme. """

Exactly what are you motivated by G.Man , you sound more like a Greek than an English man , I take it that you are English .

Militades, I used to think you are an intelligent man, but it seems you will only choose to believe the quotes that agree with you..

Yes all western newspapers share a news agency in their own country..

Do you speak farci?

Have you ever been to iran?

Have you been to israel, lebanon, jordan, syria, egypt, oman, qatar, kuwait, blah blah blah?

My unsubstantiated crap has been substantiated on Al Jazeera, by a prominent middle eastern expert from the US, yours is about headlines and garbage...

Try to travel a bit and meet the people, they are the country...

If iran has nukes, what do I care, they will never use them as they would be obliterated... like anyone that uses them..

But if they DO have them, the last thing I want to see is Israel NUKING THEM!!!!

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0, ... 77,00.html

Try reading that...

Ah it must be fact if israel wants iran kicked out of the UN..

If you really think the US's comments about iran are about anything other than they control 60% of the entire reserves in the gulf and are selling it in euros which is pushing down the dollar then you are a very naive individual...

America cares only about one thing... money!

If they didnt then they would sign the kyoto accord and start reducing their oil consumption...

PS. Yes i think ahmadinejad is a little bit crazy, but most of his rhetoric is about keeping HIS countries people happy, just like a bush speech about religion and we will fight the evil ones...

G.Man , why do you post the link to Times , I posted this link last Sunday when it first appeared. The interpretation of this DEMAGOGUES speech is well known and has never been refuted by Iran , or any of its foreign ambassadors . He clearly and concisely said "Israel must be wiped pf the face of the earth". Cut the crap out about oil revenues and money. You are a well travelled man , it appears , but wholly inadequately equipped in the field of International affairs. Israel has made her plans public to achieve one thing. Put the fear of God into Iran and get them to accept UN resolutions and abandon the Nuclear Road that would lead to its demise and push the country back a hundred years. No one is advocating that the use of Nuclear weapons is acceptable and neither is anyone responsible has your attitude " what do I care if Iran has Nuclear weapons".The West has to look after our interests and preserve our way of life , our laws our culture , Iran is not trusted to posses such devastatingly vicious weapons. And it wont.
