Zan , please remember that 200 thousand of your compatriots have a grievance at being made refugees in their own country. Many T/Cs also have suffered but it is now time for reconciliation.

I have told you before that they are always in my thoughts but they are not the solution to this problem.

I am fine -I hope that you and yours are also fine. I take this to mean yes it is true and that GC's are using Ercan to fly to Istanbul and other places in Turkey. Surely this is a good thing-helping with the re integration process.

Issy , I dont know if indeed G/Cs are using Ercan to fly to Turkey. I was merely pre supposing that indeed its perfectly feasible that some might be.

Conclussion: Everybody can have direct flights to Turkey via Tympou, and direct flights to the rest of the World through Larnaca Airport.

Now that one can cross from one side to the other,the most direct rout to Turkey from the RoC is via Ercan. What do you expect people to do?Go to Greece or Lebanon and catch a plane from there?

It is time for a bit of reality check. There can be no direct flights to ERcan from any country other than Turkey without the permission of the Cyprus government. The TRNC will never be recognised by any other country in the world (including our Islamic brothers and sisters ) except Turkey. TCs will never have a country to call their own except the Republic of Cyprus...TCs will never have any rights internationally recognised except those they already have under the 1960 constitution...Isn't it time for Talat and co to wake up and start negotiating to return to the Republic in some form of Federal structure based on the 1960 constitution???
