One thing that I agree will Leonidas and that may God Bless America because not only has America through terrorist governement has cause pain and suffering to so many people around the World but also in her own back yard she has so many social issues that only God will save the drug addictions, murders, violence racism against African/ Americans and Latinos, no health care for the poor need I go on .... or do you get my message. Nothing to be proud of mate. A nation that is truly the best would eliminate all those social and economic ills.

My God I cannot believe I stooped so low as to call Gorilla names. I guess I better humble myself and apologise, however I fail to see how one can be called a racists by simply saying that the war on Iraq is nothing less than a terrorist attack on that nation and its people.

The sad thing about Sadam is that you actually did him a favour by killing him. He should have been locked in jail for life and allowed to experience real suffering of living with his crimes.

The US after murdering 1000s innocent Iraqi civilans at the war of terror to capture Saddam, they found out that the weapons of muss destruction - One of the main reasons for the war was just an illusion- Americans Brainwashing .

The world does not start and end in US. The sooner you realise that the more chances you have to get acceptance from the World.

I say again to you all, you are confusing USA government policies with American culture!

Personally, I am against the war in Iraq and always have been. At one point I would estimate that the majority of people in the UK felt the same.

I think George Bush should never have been elected in the first place, it was not legal IMO, and the right wing polocies of his government suck.

And yes it is true that the examples I gave - which are really a product of international globalisation, which incidentally the free economic system of the USA allows it to excel at - are not necessarily good examples in terms of benefits that the USA have given the world.

But I tell you what, without the USA we wouldn't even be having this discussion because the internet started out as a primitive network of computers established by the US DoD! So you ALL on here owe something to Americans!!

Also you must surely agree that if you were to remove Americans from the globe then your life personally would suffer. Cyprus would suffer because - although not to the extent as e.g the Brits I am sure - Americans tourists put money into the Cypriot economy.

Anyhow, I am not so shallow as to turn myself off an entire culture - any culture - just because of these things. For f*cks sake, people no matter where they are from are individuals - there certainly seem to be plenty of "individuals" on this forum - and anyone is wrong to hate any particular culture or country's population which, by definition, is either racism or xenephobia.

No, i do not believe any american citizen believes the USA is the start ir end of the world. we do not think we arfe all that. but we are strong. come to america and see what we are made of. we are made up of foriengers, all proud of the heritages we come from. which is one of the beautiful things about this country. we have the freedoms to be who we are and where we are from. i live in a predominantly hispanic neighborhood. we have turks and greeks and cypriots living happily as neighbors here.we have afircan americans, russians, croatians. we are the world. we celebrate the fact that we are so diverse. we have jews and muslims and christians and witches.
and you--in cyprus, have predominatly 2 races: GC and TC, and you don't get along. and you complain about anyone who is different. we are good enough for your tourist dollars. some, stay a week or two, then LEAVE.
you think your country doesn't brainwash you with propiganda? think again. maybe they did such a good job brainwashing you that you don't even realize it.
my, what a tiny island, so full of hate. just my observation after being part of thbis forum. and i joined this forum to learn about a culture i knew nothing about. what ugly ugly people, at least some of them. (and some i have met here are quiet wonderful). talk about embassadors of countries.....
