Will the GC administration buy all land offered up for sale and how will they check to ensure the TCs has not got an equivelent in the north?? Id sell our family property in the south tomorrow if I got market value.

This is not a proposal made by me VP. Apparently the RoC are passing a law that gives you no choice in the matter and probably will give you no choice in the price. It is in the Hurriyet, on line.

Would that make us even now?

Well Zan if that is the case I am really sad to hear it beecause it would be hypocritical on the RoC's part and as a Cypriot am affraid that Cyprus will be for ever divided.

As someone who wants to see a united Cyprus where all of its people live anywhere they choose to and work together towards a peaceful united nation I hope that this is a media hype and not the fact.

yet again it gives you an insight into your own leaderships mindset, obviously the majority of GCs are happy with these tit for tat tactics.

VP I believe that all Cypriots need to take responsibility in relation to the Cyprus problem, there are many ways we can each display our intentions for our country we need only take action.

What I meant to infer was that I believe the refugee problem is one of the reasons that Tpap persuaded his people to say no to the AP. I have posted a while back a report that said the cost of voting yes would have cost the RoC 45 to 50 billion Pounds. This whole game is about trying to blame Turkey for this and getting them to pay for the whole lot. Of course that is not the only aim of the RoC as we know. My latest question was that as Tpap is losing this war of blame, is he now trying to sideline the refugees by buying up the TC land and (it is also mentioned that he will be building houses for the refugees on this land) housing them and will try to avoid the question of compensation or at least keep pointing the finger at Turkey. This could also pave the way for a more acceptable AP. These are not moves to encourage unification by Tpap and as well you know I don’t believe that will happen in the near future.

I am not sure of what the motivation for this is Zan, but I do disagree with the decision as it will mean that the GSC refugees will not be able to argue for their properties, on a personal level I belive it to be hypocritical also.

the fact that tpap has motives none of us understand is common knowledge. DOn't really like the guy. What makes me laugh though is sitting here listening to 2 TC;s talk with shock and horror of the possibility of TC land being bought up when you're buying up any advertising spots EUropean papers will let you to advertise GC land.

The shock is DT that Tpap has been asking for the Refugee land to be returned and then does the one thing that will ensure that it will not be. With this in mind and the fact that a while back I said the builders in the north know something that we don't know just goes to show what a bright lad I am.
