Jobs are not that easy to get if you are non EU, in fact even if you are EU its still difficult, the companies don't like the hassle of work permits and such for non EU people.

The language is an obvious barrier, lots of companies like you to speak Greek, or another language.

Don't want to dampen you spirits, but don't let anyone tell you its easy. :(

There is a large Filipino population in Cyprus, mainly employed on domestic duties and in restaurants.

There are alot of Filipinos in Cyprus. Most are house maids, gardeners or work in restaurants. They need a work permit and visa and the pay is abysmal. It ranging whether you are live in or out and is around 150-250 per month.

fatuts, you have a university degree so I would not advice you to work as house maid or illegal waiter at some restaurant! Sorry but it will be very difficult to get a work permit in Cyprus to do any good job!

Trust me when i say it's VERY hard to get a work permit if you are NON EU MEMBER.. i know this from experience.. Been here nearly a year and still no work permit.

With the cost of living and lack of work.. i'd serisously re-consider coming here to start a career. Lucky for me, my partner earns a very good wage here in Cyprus and we are able to live off that.

how about if my husband will have his working permit (he is applying) as a chef from his prospect employer. is it possible for me to use his permit to seek for a part-time job legally?
