Hello evrybody.
My opinion is that Cyprus is good place for rest but if you gonna work in Cyprus in Hotel industry......well i suppose is really hard work! I'm looking for a job in the same industry now , but i dont think that i would be have much time for resting(beaches, nice sun ans sea). Staff in any hotels work hard cuz they want to gane money in hot season.
I might be wrong, but is my opinion.

All the info about Le meridian is true...is one of our best hotels in Limasol and all over Cyprus. Good reputation, very nice services, perfect food...*****. Its true that you will need a car for sure if you will stay there for a long time. And if I am right I thing chief in Le meridian are well paid. About hard work ... thats true too. Hothotice, you are right. Hotel industry sometimes is cruel, especially in summer season. But I think it was your choice or baby chef's choice to find yourselves a job in that area with all the advantages and disadvantages. You know if you ask any practitioner will say all the difficulties that face every day in work. But its our choice what we might do for living.

LENA! I agree with you completely ! I don’t think that Hotel industry is worse than any other business or industry. Is just what style of work you prefer . I use to believe that office style of job is right for me(to be honest I tried to believe in this but I gave up this ). Finely I realized that I WANT work in hotel industry. Don’t ask me why….for many reasons I want do this.

Hi Baby Chef!
I’m not chef (sorry). I’m travel agent, but now I work as Travel & Presents Coordinator for one huge company(by the way is extremely boring job) . 2 years ago I use to work as sales manager in Cyprus department for big travel company(exactly after University). I’ve been in Cyprus many times. So now I’m trying to find a job in Hotel industry in Cyprus, cuz I realized that I want to work in this field .
I’ve been in Le Meridien hotel 2 years ago. I like it more than 4 seasons. But few years ago situation in Le Meridien wasn’t so cool. Now they’ve changed a half of staff and strategy of developing. Owner of Le Meredien has invested in this hotel a lot of money . And it’s getting better day-by-day. Luxury KENZO designed rooms, high class SPA, restaurants.
Good luck !

my job is not easy either and I dont think any job is that easy as I said. Most of my friends ... especially male friends think that I am crazy ... I work with children and its exhausting, sometimes cause you headaches need mental and physical strenght, lots of time after your job hours for preparation ...etc (I dont think that you want to tell you more   but there are many more) but I do love my job. So I completely understand your feelings
