Hmm thats interesting -- I have a two bed / two bath apartment near the beach in Larnaca and was wondering whether to sell or rent out .

If it's worth as much as yours I think I might just sell.

Can you give more details i.e. floor area / age of building etc as I'm sure prospective buyers would like more info and so would I to compare with mine .

Is yours fully furnished at that price ?

Cheers Bill

Seems like a heafty price for a 2 bedroom flat to me?
I've heard that house prices have gone up by around 40% over the last 5 years, but cy£80,000 for a 2 bedroom flat in Larnaca,no wonder people are selling up and renting !!!!

Highlander, that's a resale, you can get much much cheaper if you buy off plans.

I estimated the value of mine at around £60k fully furnished.

It's about 5 mins from the beach on the other side of Larnaca to where you are --

Maybe things are very different in Paphos, but you will not find many 2 bedroom apartments for £80,000; I went on one website and the cheapest 2 bed apartment was £75,000 and that is next to a cemetry.

Kali Mera,

well the flat is 112 sq.metres and has two very large verandas.

It is rented until Feb at C£250 un-furnished , furnished C£300. It is large flat very airy.

Sale price is C£85,000. Because of location, its not directly in-your-face touristy but at the same time 5 mins will get you in the hub of things. ( I did get the price wrong but higher unfortunately.)

Its on the 4th floor of a really nice building, close to all amenities and literally 5 mins walking to the marina.

I cant remember how old the building roughly about 4/5 years old.

Yes Svetlana -- property is cheaper in Larnaca.

Sylvia --

At 112sqm it's a big flat you are selling -- I take it that the 112sqm is the apartment floor area excluding the veranda's.

My flat is only 85sqm with a reasonable size veranda 2.2m by 5m -- and it's in a small block

So it's probably worth the near enough your asking price although what you may be offered for it is anybodies guess.

You realise of course that now is probably not the best time to put it up for sale --- May/June would be better as the tourists start coming in and there will be more interest .

Back to the icons --- St George monastery is well worth a visit -- the icons are not cheap but then considering it's made personally for you it's not expensive either -- head out of larnaca towards Limassol and look out for the sign post off the highway for st georges monastery -- it's nearer limassol than larnaca.

When you have had a look at the monastery -- continue down the road towards the sea -- there's a small cove there and a restaurant overlooking the beach that serves excellent fish dishes -- also worth a visit.
