What is the general cost of things?

Perhaps starting with the essentials

1) Cigarettes

2) Coffee

3) Beer/Wine

Thankyou

Giday Half-cast,
Roughly the same as Austraila,UK and most europian countries nowadays with the exception of petrol, cigs, local spirits/wine and booze or grog as you lads call it, plenty savings to be had in that lot.

2 pounds for Benson & Hedges - that is half the price we pay for them in Australia.

Are there many restrictions concerning where smokes can light up in Cyprus?

In Australia about five years ago they changed the laws and now we can only smoke outdoors in public places -Restaurants, pubs /clubs you name it smoking indoors is banned -(except for areas around poker machines where smoking is allowed) and smoking is even banned on certain beaches like Bondi.

It's very rare to find a place in Cyprus where smoking ISN'T allowed... They smoke in Government offices, Police Stations, While driving the bus, even while pumping Petrol!! believe it or not, i've seen it many many times. I'm sure one day soon, smoking in Cyprus will start to die down a bit
