I had a conversation with a Scottish friend of mine, he assured me of the fact that there are very few Scottish homosexuals, he further states that those who are, advertise the fact by wearing their 'Sporran' at the back of their kilt rather than the front, I wonder if this is true?, perhaps a knowledgeable Scot could confirm or deny this peculiar snippet of information, I personally think it is quite a novel idea, providing it is accompanied by a degree of understanding among the general community, it seems to be quite an advantageous signal when you consider the undergarments of the said kilt wearers.

Kikapu, I will agree with you and give you the fact that the Cypriot people are narrowminded as far as homosexuality goes. What is disturbing , if you will, is that if you check this thread the majority of stupid comments werent made by Cypriots...

I stand corrected Andri_cy. I should have said, all men who are afraid from Gay Men. What a bunch of Pu$$ie$ they are.

They can handle Gay Women, just not Gay Men. Straight Men believe they can reform a Gay Woman. Yeh, one night with me and she'll know what she has been missing all this time and she'll never go back to Jane again, is what Men think. I don't know what they think will happen, if someone is Gay. So the Gay Men might have sexual thoughts towards a Straight Men, and if so, so what?? Hell, we do it all day long towards women, and I don't see anyone getting hurt by it.

Actually Kikapu, the mostly homophobic coments come from people who appear to reside outside of Cyprus. The likes of Highlander and that jones thing. Perhaps someone could inform people that it is not catchy at all and need a chill pill. Being gay is just another part of who someone may be, sure different to someone elses sexyual preference but hello a human being none the less. I am an openly gay man wanting to visit Cyprus in the next couple of years and would love to dance in agy club, because I doo not have to put up with the discrimination that I am currently experiencing on this forum and that is just simply asking of a gay club. Let alone hold my partners hand in public let alone kiss them in the stree.

Why do people fear love and affection of two people? Have we as society lost our spirit and soul?

It is so hard not to be rude to these homophobic numskulls on this thread but I will try. What I hate seeing is great big hairy Scotsmen drunk and making a fool of themselves in the streets and restaurants of this world in front of my children. When my children ask me why these people have to behave like that then I really have no answer for them except that it is an illness. When my children see two people of the same sex walking down the road holding hands then all I have to say is they like each other. Isn’t life complicated?

As for my "avatar", it is funny you should say that because I found out over christmas that I was born on the same day as Ozzy but he is 12 years older than me. The other guy is "Quentin Crisp" or Quinton Quisp" if you have a lisp.

Don't let the bastards get you down mate. Have a great time in Cyprus, I think you will find that most Cypriots are respectful even if they are wary. I don’t know about the new generation though.
