The US dollar is at the lowest point against Cyprus pound since the beginning of 1999 (thats when the euro was introduced).
Sometimes I order things from the US (books, electronics etc) and now seems like a great time to buy!!

Do u guys think that we should change our money currency to euro?? or when we going to start to use euro? bec cyprus pound is more powerfull than euro & british pound at this moment..isnt it? somebody who has info about these lemme know! thanx

I believe it is a dream of all the Cypriots to adopt EURO, as it will show how much Cyprus is within the EU. Already now Cyprus pound is linked to EURO and moving in the same direction. the British are stubborn and value the benefits of at least this type of independence from the rest of EU, that is why their pound has more interesting fluctuations than EURO, but still EU is EU and UK is there too
the weakest link is US dollar, that is in a deep shit now, although there is an opinion that both EURO and USD are now at their max and min respectively and that soon EURO will go down and USD will go up to some extent but not to the level when for 1 USD you could get 1.4 EUROs. Most say that USD will go down even further because of their poor state of economy, raising deficit, iraq problems. Uncertainty is about the period during which the dollar will continue falling till it collapses completely...whether it will happen quickly or slowly... the forecasts some months ago said that dollar will fall to such an extent that for each dollar one will get 0.5 EURO... we will see

sure, if you earn in CYP or EUR you can buy more things denominated in USD, so order quickly and as much as possible !
