tter garbage, what would have said if it were a GC flying into Ercan and staying north while travelling over the island, let me guess "Bloody Traitor" is your style.

The Ercan is an illegal port of entry. Why would anybody fly to that illegal airport, especially from any place other than Turkey, when flying to Larnaca is faster and cheaper? The only reason would be to intentionally support the illegal state in the north, something only partitionists like you would do. Everybody else would choose the legal/faster/cheaper way.

Thank you, you have proved my point. Take note Kikapu and learn the GC mentality, you have made your choice good luck hope all goes badly.

What "GC mentality" are you talking about? I just stated some facts, e.g. that the Ercan airport is an illegal port of entry. Larnaca is a legal port of entry. Plain simple facts and nothing more.

Why do you think that everybody should commit illegalities to support your dream of partition? Aren't TCs allowed to go out of the officially Turkish policy and to support one united country, instead of your partition aim?

If there is one who is betraying his own country and siding with a foreign country in order to commit crimes against his compatriots, this is you.

Deal with it, as long as there is no solution and you are waiting for the swing in power things will continue as is, illegal or not it is our main port of entry and used by the majority of TCs and foreign nationals including GCs.

Kikapu asked for advice about a forthcoming holiday, not for a history lesson. Any further postings not related to the original topic will be deleted

Lana

Thank you Lana, you beat me to it by few minutes with your quote.

Please allow me to write this first.

Let me first of all say, how disappointed I feel in Viewpoint's point of view. I can tell from his "mean spirited" way, that he feels the same way about me. But that's OK, because I do not "march" to other peoples tunes. I do not side with any one group nor do I pretend to like or hate someone, just because others might. I have on this forum, spoken the truth which at times favoured the TC's and other times favoured the GC's. Since I had experienced the 1963-64 era first hand, I had argued on many occasions against the GC's.

I can't go through life blaming people of today for mistakes of yestarday, caused by others. I left Cyprus as one country, and that's all I know. Therefore "Viewpoint", just to answer you directly, Cyprus is where my roots are and that's were my loyalties lie, as well as in it's citizens. You wished me all the bad lucks in the world to happen. Who knows, perhaps you will get your wish. It will be my gift to you, so that you can have more reasons to argue your case against the GC's. When ever I'm asked as to where I'm from, I always say Cyprus, because that's the truth. If I want to visit Cyprus, it means 100% of Cyprus and not just part of it. You may choose to live just in the North and some GC's may only want to live in the South, but don't tell me where I should go and not to go.

I have always respected Bananiot's views, eventhough he has been accused everything under the sun by some forum members as being a paid agent of Turks and all the other BS, and all the TC's seems to enjoy his version of Cyprus events of the past, and possible outcome in the future. I'm sure "Viewpoint" respects Bananiot very much, so let me ask our friend Bananiot as to what he thinks of what I want to do, by visiting Cyprus and staying in the South, portion of my time. Does he approve or not.

Just to keep this thread in the rules Lana has outlined above, let me ask "Viewpoint". Will you recommend I stay in Girne/Kyrinia for me to see most parts of the North by doing day trips from there, or would you recommend other places.?

Live and let live people......

Kyrenia/Girne is the best place to stay as it is naturally beautiful and very central to places you wish to see via day trips and only 20 minutes to Kucuk Kaymakli in Lefkosa. Please visit Bellapais at night and eat in the Kybelle Restaurant which is in the monastery grounds. My choice of hotel would be the Colony Hotel http://www.parkheritage.com/contact.html or you could try the new one which has just opened it doors call the Grand Mecure Hotel in Kervansaray which I believe is the most modern and has all the latest technical gadgets associated with 6 star hotels.

Just to re-emphasise I have stated that you can stay where ever you wish, your conscious is your own. The point I'm trying to make is that a GC would never do what you are doing just take a few minute to ask yourself why?

PS; I was joking about wishing bad things for you in the south, Im sure you will have a great time where ever you go.

I know what Viewpoint will recommend! To stay in the south and do only day trips to the north ;)

Maybe we should. Then Annan will ask Desoto, Desoto will ask the Americans, and the Americans will say that Kikapu should do whatever Viewpoint asked :P
