bg turks continue to be denied freedom of movement

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Piratis » Wed Jan 03, 2007 10:45 pm

Issy, you have been given free electricity for decades, and you are now given free health care and many other benefits without even paying your taxes to RoC. If you do not recongnize the goodwill shown by RoC, and respond, then at some point this goodwill will run out.

And Bg_Turk, illegals are arrested. Thats what they do in all civilized countries in the world. If a Cypriot commits a crime in Bulgaria he will be arrested by the local police. Cyprus is no exception either you like it or not. Nobody will complain for Cyprus applying its laws, apart maybe from the Turks themselves.

Besides, what are they going to do here? Collect our garbage? Or you expect us to give jobs or anything better to illegal settlers that for decades they have been exploiting our properties (and I am sure they are planing to continue doing so)

Pirates,
Free electricity? Are you sure? If you are unhappy with the TC's having any benefits from the ROC withdraw them.

They can do whatever they want, it is none of your business. They are free EU citizens.

I agree totally but the political benefit of once people one country would no longer work in the GCs favor. If they are so unhappy with supplying "favors" go ahead and withdraw them tomorrow, call back all the passports and discriminate against TCs, we actually are paying for the electricity...stop all these and show the nasty TCs what you are really made of.

You cannot arbitrarily arrest hundreds of EU citizens, any such act would cause outrage in Bulgaria, and in Europe, and would further marginalize the Greek Cypriot administration within the European Union.

hey., sengen treaty does not apply to you,

can you get it, you are not 100% EU members, bulgaria and romania have been welcomed under strict conditions, UK seems not willing to accept bulgarian immigrants and greece seems to do the same and more states will come.

both countries enter to make EU's influence strong there and to stablise their economies but dont u think that you are 100% members,

Bgturk , are you aware that no extradition agreement exists between the Northern Cyprus part of Cyprus and the entire world. Are you also aware that the EU recognises one government and one judicial body representing Cyprus. For me to even suggest that the "TRNC" is anything but an illegal entity , since the entire international communities , including friendly nations such as the USA and Brittain deem it to be so , would be contradictory to my beliefs in one Cyprus ruled by Cypriots irrespective whether they are part of the minority or majority, ie a T/C President of Cyprus would have my utmost respect always provided that he represented all Cypriots and was dedicated to work for the benefit of Cyprus as a whole.
You are totaly out of your head if you are suggesting that the Cypriot government withers and goes away and accepts that every Tom Dick and Harry can land in any part of Cyprus and expect the legal authorities to remain inactive. This simply can not happen. There will be a solution and it will be acceptable , at least partly to the majority of Cypriots , the AP was drawn up under the guidance of USA and British interests with Turkey dictating . To have a situation where the prospects of major conflict erupting and Turkey intervening would not be congenial to future stability and peace.
