HM Revenue & Customs letter.

Postby raymanuva » Wed Jan 03, 2007 9:38 am

This morning got a letter from HM Revenue & Customs,
it looks like a memo to pay taxes etc?
I do get paid from UK occasionaly but i havent been there for 6 years, and i am not UK citizen anyway.

Does anyone else have an idea about this?

It looks like also this targets expats getting their pensions abroad aswel.
But it has got me name on it :D and i am far from being a pensioneer.

I think you can get taxed if you are a pensioner, did you take early retirement? do you receive any income from the UK or do you have any property over there? high interest bank accounts? anything that can generate any form of income no matter how small and you can be guaranteed that they will hound you like a dog till they get a slice thanks to good old (mr liar) blair

jees just shows the extent of their greed, they arre trying to track ppl down for work done on the net to pay tax on that aswell. Disgusting. Well good luck with that then, just ignore it they cant do n e thing about it, if you havent got any bank accounts or property over there

It looks to me that whoever was paying you in the uk for your sevices, has dob'd you in it or they have had a HM R & Customs unanounced visit, going through their books and especialy invoices they have paid out, otherwise how else would they know your Cyprus address?
To be honest i woud just ignore the ar*eholes and be more discret,no traceable cheques sent to your door etc, cause Mr Blair and his big brothers are always watching us !!!!! No matter where we are.
