hello there i am opening up a stationery shop in cyprus and i would like to know shall i put cctv in there even though there is no shoplifting in cpyrus i might need one outside incase someone vandalises etc nd do stationery shops have any cctv in there please answer as i am opening in a few weeks.

you should definitely have an alarm and smoke detectors...as for cctv many shops including convenience stores have it so you might want to have it too. My dad is very happy with the security systems he uses at his showroom. I think the name of the company is City Watch Ltd.

all of them are quite discrete...most of them are not usually taken for cameras.

may be not compared to other countries but it is increasing at worrisome levels. We do have robberies, thefts, baglifting e.t.c.

I don't know exact numbers but what I know for sure is that cameras are not rare at all....every other shop has them...good luck with your decision! You are going to use other security systems like an alarm (this is used by everybody) you can ask the company that you will use for that for advice regarding the cameras.
