So do Gcs view Talat as their Vice President? you have lived away for so long you have become assimilated into the Greek Cypriot mentality of thinking Tasoss represents you and your interests. Well Bir as long as we are divided he only represents GCs as he often confirms by his words and actions to maintain an unfair hold on Tcs so they "want a solution". You really need a kick up the back sides and a dose of reality serum. This ex eoka Turk hater can never represent us not even in a united Cyprus as he is to put it mildly a racist adulterer who has no principles but the ones that suit him the GC cause to take control of the whole island and turn it into a GC state. So when you make comments like the above think about the insult you have just hurled at 260.000 TCs. Well done you should feel very proud of yourself.

Talat is not the Vice president of Cyprus,so why should the GCs view him as such. Talat is the pesident of the self-declared TRNC recognised only by Turkey.I am an Australian citizen of Turkish Cypriot background.John Howard is my Prime Minister in Australia, and Tassos Papadopoulos is my president because he is the world- recognised President of the ROC,my country of birth. I don't vote for John Howard as I don't approve of his politics, but that doesn't change the reality that he is the PM of Australia. If I lived in the ROC I wouldn't vote for Papadopoulos because I do not approve of his politics, but that does not change the reality that he is the President of the RoC...Now which one of us live with reality, and which one is in denial???

The people that really count are Gcs and Tcs, and we do not see it that way. The "RoC" is GC run by Gcs for Gcs and the TRNC for all its faults is TC run by Tcs for Tcs, unit or if we ever find a solution. Otherwise TCs identify themselves with the TRNC and we explain this allover the world on many platforms. Its surprising that people are more and more aware of the divide on the island in the last 3 years, this trend will continue and in 50 years time people will say why the hell are we still discriminating against these people, time to move on.

It would take a great deal of spirit and soul searching for someone to do what you are suggesting my friend (Birkibisli) I doubt whether our entire world has any such men in existence. That would be a miracle of miracles, to find such a leader in any nation. What a utopia that would make if Cyprus ever created 2 such leaders who genunely would bring the people together.

How does one become President?

It doesn't seem to be a "Big Hill" to climb these days to become a President. George Bush has proven that.

You don't even have to speak your native language to become a President. George Bush has proven that.

So lets elect a TC to be the President of RoC, and see if a solution can be found that way.

Bold ideas requires Bold thinking which requires Bold actions.

You as you do not live here and do not live the reality of a divided island with totally different structures and people. The world may view this ex eoka man as the president of the "RoC" but the "RoC" does not represent me as a TC, this is my right as is the religion i practice or the language i speak. You may live in denial but we have our own President politicians, police schools government organs everything other countries have, so when you come to the TRNC and live the reality yourself you to will see that this option is much better than any other option available to TCs and on the whole is better than we have ever had in our history.

I will reply you with what a TC member of this forum called Sadik said some time ago:

Just because an illegal state says it represents me, does this make it true?

He is free to say what he wishes we do not try to restrict anyone, but for every Sadik there are plenty of viewpoints that I can guarantee.
