Financial Times’ bias

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

"""Facts are, that Cyprus has been a disputed island for centuries, with anyone within a spitting distance laying claim to it you can see where the timeline came from here:

What you should have ended with is this : Facts are Cyprus has been conquered by many foreign nations who denied the natives their right to their island. The Cypriots , G/Cs , T/Cs , Armenians and recently arrived British , Russian and other Eastern Europeans have a legitimate right to be equal citizens under the law. What they do not have a right to do is to pay allegiance to a nation that the vast majority of Cypriots , some 80% consider as an invading power. There has to be an acceptance of Universal norms and codes of behaviour.

You see Natty? :) Respect your opinion, as always, miltiades.

Well Natty, even according to Piratis, who claims, that overwhelming majority of Greek Cypriots today, do not wish to unite with Greece in a form of a Enosis, so perhaps the Turkish Cypriots had the foresight back in the 60's, that Enosis was not in the best interest of Cyprus.

I don't however hear our GC's friends saying "thank you" to the TC's, for preventing a terrible mistake that the Enosis would have been, that they ( the GC's ) do not want it today.

I've been a member of this forum for a long time now, yet I'm still so confused about many things...although I guess I'm not the only one...

BTW, When I said I didn't support 'the independent idea' I meant the 'the enosis idea'...Just to clear that up...

You are definitely not the only one with questions, but one of the few who is willing to ask questions and keep an open mind, I think.

The more I discuss all these issues in the forum, the more I realise that we must somehow visualise a new future instead of wallowing in the pain and anger of the past.

Small correction on my post; the Rumelians came over from Anatolia in 8500 BC, not 6500 BC.

I haven't had that awful dish, since I left school in the 70's.

Wait a minute, it's coming to me..wait wait..yes, I remember. I had, split Red Lentil soup, bread and black olives.

If that doesn't have Cypriot written all over it, I don't know what else would.

Hey, what's wrong with spaghetti bolognaise, you biased against italians? Remember the roman empire, they could make a comeback, they already colonised cyprus once...
