I went to see this poet/comedian last night. As always he was very entertaining and very funny.
One of his asides might appeal to misogynists like Tony Harte:

"If you annoy your wife she will nag you; if you really annoy her she'll give you the silent treatment. In my opinion it's worth making the extra effort".

I've used this principle for years now -- but be warned there is a fine dividing line between silence and using her hands to communicate.

A piece of kitchen ware approaching you at 60 mph is worth a 100 words to a angry woman and isn't silent  .

"Quote" from History

In the house of parlement the following exchange took place

LADY ASTOR
"Mr Churchill you are a horrible man and if i was your wife i would put poison in your coffee"

MR CHURCHILL
"Madam if i had the misfortune to have you as my wife i would drink it"
