Just checked out flights with Monarch for May next year, we were quoted £408 return for two adults. I always pay less than this by scouring the internet. This is not my idea of cheap flights !

we fly from manchester to paphos return and mix and match flights to get the cheapest deal. More often we fly out with www.flythomascook.co.uk
(usually the cheapest if you take off the meal/extra baggage thats "helpfully" automatically appear in the price!) and back with BA or something. We got great deals last year on the last flight of the season in November all 99p (plus usual tax) and it was half full of people nipping back to the uk to drop off presents. Apparently its a regular thing, that week each year. We never pay more than £200 inc each return at any time of the year. lisa

I checked for May 2007 to LTN and when you add on things like, meal, extra legroom seats etc for two of us it came to £485. I dont call that low cost.

The airline is ok safety wise, the seats are really close together, if your tall your knees will be literally under your chin, more so than other airlines.
Its got quite a good record as far as delays and cancellations go too. Its nothing like Helios.

Leg room can be a problem. But do you really need to eat during those 4.5 hours? And you can always take some cookies with you.

Kempes wrote:Sorry, yes Cyprus Airways are pretty good too. Watch the exchange rate though as they default to Cyprus pounds, so add 20% for the UK equivalent or change the currency. The website is not so friendly though as you have to choose each flight you can take individually to get a price, rather than showing all price options on one page. Can take an age to get the cheapest.

With CA on the main page you can change your currency, so change it to GBP and you know what your getting.
