Furniture and stuff

Postby Jagsman » Thu Dec 21, 2006 12:20 am

Hi guys and gals.Coming over on 10/1/07 for 2 weeks to start furnishing 2 bedroom house from scratch.Any tips ,hints, suggestions how to go about getting essentials.I'm assuming it's too expensive to ship stuff over.

Already had a suggestion to go for a ceiing fan instead of aircon.Any thoughts?

Also looking to get a car to leave at house - cost circa £2500 - £3000.Again suggested we go for 4 x 4.Any thoughts?

Thanks

Ive bought a new house and am buying new furniture and have a few things you might b interested in, they are all in good nick and good to start you off.
I have a 3 seater and a 2 seater sofa, used but in ok condition slight tear on one of the corners but hardly noticable along with a nice coffee table you can have for 380 all together, plus i have a wooden chest of drawers 170 a tv with built in video 200 that i bought 2 years ago and hardly used. Ive also got other pieces of furniture tv cabinets side tabels etc. Im sure ill have lots of other bits and pieces like unused pots and pans still in their box, but i have them all stored away at the moment, if you are interested ill have a rummage.
For curtains i know someone who i heared of through the grapevine who does blinds and curtains cheap, brings them from Syria, seen a few things theyve done quality looks ok. E-mail me [email protected] if you are interested in any of the above.

Happy new year to all !!!

Am i right in saying all household items are more expensive to buy in Cyprus? I am needing a new tv, laptop, dvd player, washing machine, sofa, bed....should I bring from the uk? Any prices would be handy..thank you.

shanie, if I may make a suggestion for you, have you enquired about container removal services?, it can be a good proposition if handled correctly and assuming you have enough furniture and items to fill it. There is an excellent provider within your range, 'MONDIAL FORWARDING LTD' Tel:-020 8805 3344, I am sure that ,subject to the above, it is an option well worth considering. Good luck in the future and hope it all turns out well for you. :) :) :) :) :)
