Don't you just love the UK???

Postby Niki » Wed Dec 20, 2006 9:37 pm

I spent 3 hours in traffic jams on my way to London in minus 3 degrees freezing fog, late by 2 hours for a meeting. Stressed??

M25 at a standstill, M11 closed due to an accident, opened 6 hours later but a lorry had jack-knifed in the queue and the crane lorry had broken down on it's way to pick up the jack-knifed lorry so it closed again for another ** hours! 9 miles of queues on all other routes.

Meanwhile I am sending my girls to school in Ipswich where there are 5 young women who have been murdered so we all "have to be very careful!" and the airports have just let an immigrant escape through an aiport (after he had shot dead a lovely mum and policewoman) because he was wearing a 'BURKA" pretending to be a woman and they didn't check because we are not allowed to question ther religious beliefs!.

If anyone tells me that moving to Cyprus is going to create just as many problems then I won't believe them!!

(ok - feel better now  )

The country has been hijacked by third world garbage along with UK stark raving bloody educated morons. We have a traffic Warden mentality and are governed by political correctness gone mad. I for one does not abide by this nonsense. I detest the vermin called traffic wardens , I hate the bloody cameras that are there not for my benefit but to penalise and rob me of 50 quid if i park for a second to answer a call on my mobile.
The politicians are crap , after feathering their nests , Councils dish out our money right left and centre , and try calling the Police , always too bloody busy pissing about planning their retirement at the age of 50 , in Spain or Cyprus. The country needs a strong leader and it ain't going to be Brown or Hoody lover.

The police have their hands tied with red tape. I know they are required to spend a ridiculous time preparing paperwork instead of getting on with their job because of policies and the threat of legal action that the 'criminals' can enforce. The rest of us just have to put up with it (and pay for it which is why I had to spend today in such a sh**ty way to make the tax).

My husband was in Germany recently where a more serious accident was cleared in 1 hour. What is so different??

Well Niki2410, admitted the police are tied up with paperwork and red tape...but next time you need them in a hurry just tell them you think its racially motivated and they will send someone round in a flash - its true!
Also they have changed the law here now...a traffic accident involving a fatality is now classed as a scene of crime so the area is cordoned off and forensic etc meticulously sift through it for hours - hence the chaos. have to agree with a lot of the other comments too.....

Hi Niki

I know exactly what you mean. We also got stuck in a traffic jam yesterday on the Paphos to Polis road.

It was a very low 24c - so we had to have the windows open! The jam took a whole 5 minutes to clear...

The ordeal was so bad we decided to finish work early and go for a Chinese lunch!

That was another nightmare, the second we got there we were seen to a table and asked what drinks we wanted.

The manager appeared with a baby chair for Louis and a bag of NEW toy cars for him to play with!!! HELLO did we ask for them???

After having such a day - we went home and sat on the patio with a drink and contemplated the events in the afternoon sun...

SEE YOU SOON IN CYPRUS
