Hey Eliko so you want me to watch hilarious TV shows as if that is really important? Do you know how many hilarious shows we have locally on TV? It seems they are producing nothing else these days.

I respect the right of Zan to watch them though.

You can call me a snob if you like but there is nothing produced in Cyprus, Turkey or Greece that even comes close to the British sophisticated humour.

well i have to say, english humour is a bit cold, yes it is witty but its always the same system, it simply consists of some creative sarcasm or ambiguity, or both, usually the only thing thats funny about it is its wit and how quick the brits seem to be able to deliver it...id still prefere it to the american crap tho!

British sophisticated humor? Are you trying to be humorous now? I don't and never have found anything sophisticated about English humor. Granted they are funny(Monty python, benny hill) but I wouldn't go as far as calling them sophisticated...

A person who does not even speak enough Turkish, no Greek at all says:

Read this Zan modify it to suit you:

A: We are Ammericans. (with double "m"). The best nation in the world!
B: Oh really? Have you seen other nations?
A: No.
B: Have you traveled anywhere?
A: Sure. I went twice to New York

I would not put Benny Hill in the same bag as Monty Python. I find most do not understand the sophistication of Monty and at how many levels it works. I do like some of the refinement of the yanks as well but find the others as poor copies of these two countries. These are probably more personal and I am not saying that they are the same for all of you.

My husband loves Monty Python. If we ever divorce it will be cause I refuse to watch it with him...
