PS I always have had excellent service from www.overclockers.co.uk 3 days to get delivery in Cyprus

:D

Their ratings are very bad http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Overclockers_co_uk I think it is a good idea to check the ratings of an online store before buying from them.

I disagree, I find a recommendation a far more reliable method..

I have been using them since they started, have spent more than £50,000 over the years with them building pc's for myself, colleagues and friends, and they have never ever given me a problem. Their returns policy is fair and fast, their deliveries fast, except during a period when a courier let them down, and the prices they offer are very competitive...

86 reviews from a multi million pound business is far from representative in many years of business...

I've been looking at replacing my ageing laptop - the USA prices are certainly much better than the UK.

If I were to buy a laptop or PC from the USA, would I need to change the power supply ?

Laptop power supplies handle 110v and 220v so you should be alright.

With regards to warranties beware that some brands such as ACER carry a REGIONAL warranty not international so in Europe you wouldn't be covered if it was purchased from the US.
