EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Cyprus has blocked the opening of Turkey's first negotiating chapter with the EU, with intense weekend diplomacy expected before a foreign ministers meeting on Monday.

Cyprus has already used 2-3 times on some chapters. Cant you unnderstand that all chapters related with trade have been blocked?

I shouldn’t really have to say this to a man of your age, but you really shouldn’t really believe everything you read in the newspapers, its not always true!

I am asking for a link to an official organisation, something like the EU perhaps that states Cyprus has used its veto, you do know that blocking talks on a particular topic and using a veto is two completely different matters?

Paul can you explain the difference if Cyprus blocks a particular topic, how Turkey can move on from that if its not a veto?
Its not a time-out either.

Where did EUropean666 said that "Greek Cyprus used a veto". Nowhere. You are the moron who can not read.

Republic of Cyprus, the EU member, used its power to stop chapters from closing. This is a fact either you like it or not.

Where I live is called Republic of Cyprus, as it is recognized by all civilized countries in the world without a single exception.
