Here is a question for the Greeks:

A drunk foreigner illegally and disrespectfully crosses your border patrolled by the UN and protected by your Army, with a cheering crowd of cyclist hooligans behind him, against all warnings, starts climbing on your flag pole with God knows what intent with a cigar in his mouth...

How would you feel about it?

Yet I am sorry that such violence took place and a human being lost his life. However, we must understand how the situation escalated with a clear conscience.

1) He was not drunk
2) He was not a foreigner
3) There is no border

and even if all of the above were correct, no we would not kill somebody just because he climbed up a flag pole!!

If a TC even gets a bruise from a GC you all start crying. When you KILL people everything is fine.

Murataga,

Actually you should ask yourself how you(in plural) were so deeply brainwashed for a piece of cloth.

We cant deny a flag is sacred to us all including Greeks and GC's. But I would still argue the one that gave the order was a trigger happy bastard. The one to shoot would have been a simple Private who was simply carrying orders. Never the less they should both stand for trial.

If they had to f*cking shoot why not shoot the poor man in the leg. now I'm f*ucking angry. F**k it I'm gonna have a large scotch to calm down.

I didn't mean to open this up again but it was an answer to Zan who asked about criminals in the govrnment of the ROC. The guy who fired one of the shots was identified as the minister of agriculture of the "trnc". The fat guy in the stripe t-shirt if you see the film.

Once again apologies to the rest of you as I didn't want to bring this up again, it was just for zan.

8) People have burned the british flag for centuries.....why we even have muslim immigrants burning the british flag in our own streets! But i think we have learned that you dont need to die or kill people because of a flag ( america may take a different view) or what people do to it....
What is apparent from threads on this forum is there will never be peace or harmony in Cyprus because there is too much hatred directed at CYPRIOTS either side of the green line.
on the forum counter insults follow insults and each side makes disparaging remarks about the other.....if you will never agree how do you expect your politicians to?
