read this

http://www.niata.net/murders/5.html

"The father of Solomos Solomou, the Greek-Cypriot civilian murdered in cold blood last summer, has declared a 10,000 cypriot pounds reward for information leading to the arrest of his son's assassin, Turk-Cypriot Kenan Akin, a so-called "minister" in Rauf Denktash's regime.

There is a police warrant, i just wonder what turkey can do about this since it wants to be called "european" country

Yes, now I know. That was a very sad case. They did not have to shoot him to kill. All these people with a bit of power and in the right uniform are trigger happy bastards.

The one that pulled the trigger as well as the one giving the orders should be arrested by the Turkish authorities and dealt with severely.

Well said mrfromng.

May I just add that in Cyprus we have and had the habit of never arresting those trigger pulling bastards that's why we are at todays situation.

That's a different scenario altogether. This is not mass murder but an action of the heat of the moment, it was not premeditated.

I do however believe those responsible should be brought to justice by the Turkish legal system. Handing them back to the ROC is not the ideal as they would not get a fair trial.

pyrpolizer , during my long career in the Catering Equipment business ( www.devonscatering.co.uk )
I have met so many Cypriots mostly Turkish Cypriots , I think I can say , hand on my heart , I have never met a nasty T/C or G/C for that matter. I think it is a matter of " show them you like them they will like you back "
I wish our politicians would stretch out their hand and show respect for each others grievances and concerns.

Firstly, that was a shameless pun for your business..
Secondly I've met lots of nasty GC's (mostly in my family)
Thirdly I think this was one of the worst atrocities I have seen (more the beating than the shooting) but we have already discussed this matter and we best lay it to rest.

There isn't a TC or a GC that doesn't hope these bastards get caught.
