At last praise for Turkey but they cannot take all the glory. Please be upstanding for the nations of Corruption and Extortion. Vive la backhanders.

la la zan there is nothing backhanded by joining the millionaires club. the way i see it, turkey is short changing the tcs. she is favouring the enemy, the roc, rather than the occupied areas, wouldn't you agree? apart from dektash and co, has the every day joe blow ever got 1 million euros from turkey in a lump sum? i don't think so.

how you think it feels living in the north knowing that the house you are sleeping in, the original owner got 1 million for the inconveniance and stills owes the land.

further more if you actually were do the maths, an average house say 10,000 per year rental return it would have brought over the last 32 years, lets say 320,000 euro, but we know it would have been much less and greatly depended on location. these people are getting 1 million, you go fugure. one hell of a deal wouldn't you say la la zan?

and the money is coming from the government of corruption and extortion department, known as the deeeeeeeeeep state.

I still say the roc soon should claim the most millionaires per capita anywhere in the world. of course turkey used to claim that title a while back, until it was discovered that she was using monopoly money.

Are you planning to have us buried side by side Piratis. We will have to find a place where the boarder is only a few inches wide so we can talk to each other from the grave because what you want will be a long long time coming. Lets sort out who is going to pay for the drinks though because I am not going to argue about it in two to three hundred years time.

Mmmmm interesting.

Are you guys serious? Here's your future!

Do you not think the UK and US haven't got contingency plans to squash any military squabble in Cyprus.

Its a plan just stored away for a rainy day.

Following hostilities and closure of the border. Small scale skirmishes take place along the Green Line between GC and TC forces. The UN Policing forces retreat and call for assistance.

Following an astonishingly speedy UN resolution calling for a cessation of hostilities and enforcement of the UN mandate, British troops enforce the Green Line from the South, Turkey allows US Marines to fly into Ercan to take up positions along the northern perimeter to avoid their confrontation with GC national guard. Overnight the GC government collapses. UN forces are revamped, ROC is suspended from EU.

TRNC allowed "Associate Status" to Turkey's EU application. Direct flights agreed to TRNC. "Temporary US base under NATO mandate" agreed next to Ercan Airport, ROC elections held under UN mandate. TP goes. New ROC government asks for EU suspension to be lifted, agrees to proposal to trade with Turkey's one port/airport.

British troops remain on Green Line now as UN task force. Riots in Nicosia and Larnaca, EU decides to postpone lifting EU suspension. Tourist trade collapses in the ROC.

EasyJet announces flights to Ercan, Greece protests to Security Council on behalf of ROC. Germany announces new package of aid to TRNC as president of EU.

Ireland recognises TRNC, UK advises citizens not to travel to ROC after "revenge" attacks on tourists. British troops come under fire near Ledra Palace, return fire killing GC gunman. Riots ensue at Ledra Palace crossing.

Britain recognises TRNC, Turkey announces lifting of sanctions against ROC and recognition. US confirm upgrade of Ercan as new major US Army facility in Middle East, property prices in TRNC now expected to rise. ROC government collapses, more rioting in ROC in Limassol and Paphos. UN troops augmented by UK forces, patrol streets whilst citizens are put under curfew.

Greece offers to be guarantor for ROC "in absentina", Greek troops arrive at Larnaca in Greek Hercules transport planes, Greek advisors liase with UN and Brit/UN troops and they withdraw to Sovereign Bases. National Guard and Greek troops patrol ROC cities.

TRNC awarded seat at UN, Turkey announces reduction of troops in the North, UK proposes full membership of TRNC to UN.

Greece ask for ROC to resume membership of EU with Associate Status, EU Council agree. Plebiscite offered to ROC population to join Greece as part of the Greek nation after Greece assures UK, Sovereign Bases would not be affected by any change in status of ROC and recognition of Green Line as international border......

EU awaits result of plebiscite..............

Happy Days, 2007! Can't wait!

 Is that your dream?

You can make as many scenarios as you want. In another one, much more possible than yours, China takes over in 10-15 years, and USA and UK are struggling to survive, let alone to have any time to care about what happens in Cyprus.

Cyprus will be liberated for the foreign occupation sooner or later. When the time comes we (and thats not just Cypriots) will revolt against the ones who are trying to rule our world and an end to the USA era will come.

USA today must be the most hated nation in the world, with UK coming a close second, for good reasons of course. The more injustices and crimes you support (directly or via your proxy states like Turkey and Israel), the less time the USA era will last.

You forgot the plague of locusts and the parting of the seas. You have really gone crackers now citizen Smith. Long live the revolution. Hahahahahahahahah!

Rawk, I did not say we are going to war. I have said many times that that was one of the reasons the EU allowed the RoC as member. It ties their hand and they can do nothing and it prevents Turkey from attacking an EU country….simple but effective. Of course they cannot prevent one nutter from chasing across the boarder with a toy gun and getting himself killed but Matsakis can’t walk the streets alone.
