Will GCs apply to the property commission in the North?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

At last. For once in your life you talked sense. Start by giving back Famagusta, what are you afraid of?

sure those GCs should apply to the property commission in their thousands then the area would have to be reopened. Will you do the same for TCs properties in the south? or do we still have to reside there for 6 months and wait around in GC judicial corridors for 10 years?

Why should they apply to a commission they don't even recognize ?
The demand is there from all the people of Famagusta, if you want to make commissions to decide, then make 100 of them we don't care.
All we want is Famagusta be returned to the legal owners. And the legal owners of course want to be administered by the legal state.

So after we get 1/5th of our refugees back you get 1/5th of your properties back as well.

We all want pyro, I want my property back in the south as well but I don't want to live in the "RoC" for 6 months and go to GC courts when you change it to a system like the property commission in the north I will apply. You have the right today to come and claim your property or financial compensation just like 10 GCs have done and another 70 whose applications are being processed. One family has returned to live in the north, you can do this also.

Can you so called committee ever confirmed it can satisfy 180,000 GCs? All I heard so far is they can only satisfy about 1%. At this stage they are at 0.0005%. They are just collecting some victims to show off.

Btw stop distorting my nick.

Pyro these are test cases to prove it can be done, any GC with half a mind will apply to get compensation or alternatively feel confident that their leaders will bring them the solution they long for and wait around for another decade or two. Having spoken to many GCs including you I don't think that have that confidence and will once the commission has been ratified by the ECHR make a wise move by claiming their properties through the local remedy in the north.

It has been rumoured today that if the property commission in the north is ratified there will be intermediaries visiting those interested in the south to take applications. Do you think GCs would welcome these people or would your government persecute, harass and stop them from visiting GC homes?

That's what I thought but there again GCs might want to be secretive and not be labelled a traitor so they may welcome someone calling on them to take applications in strict confidentiality.
