You are avoiding the question what have you gained from the current GC administration policy, what has the last 2.5 years brought the GC people?

Southern Cyprus Adminstration knew they were going to become a full EU member when they voted "NO" to the Annan Plan (which by the way was predominantly a consequence of Papudopoulos`s campaign). They believed that they could gain more by bringing EU states to the table on their side once they were in and take advantage of Turkey`s EU aspirations.

10 years ago the GCs` answer would have been different. It is a diplomatic game where the side who has more bargaining tools asks for more from the other. So save us from the Greek-patriotic comments and stop giving explanations why the Annan plan articles were unacceptable to GCs 8)

As admitted by a few of the TC members on this forum as well the annan plan was heavily weighed towrds the TC's. I've asked the question 4 times on this forum so far, exactly what did they TC's have to conceed in the give and take process that resulted in the annan plan?

It was a suicidal plan, I thank my lucky stars that Pap was there and not Clerides (although it hardly mattered as it would have been voted down anyway.)

I look forward to a balanced plan, one that does not solely cater for Turkey but one that caters for GC's and TC's.

The thing is you want the facts to fit the preconceptions. When they don't it is easier to ignore the facts than to change the preconceptions.”

I think pyrolizer has almost used up his quota for this month.

Seriously though, why did Tpap not participate more on the construction of the Annan plan. Why did he wait for the referendum and then reject it at the last moment. Political slight of hand?

his claim (and the UN later acked it up) was that the tonnes and tonnes of paperwork he forklifted to the UN everyday were simply ignored. He had views on Karpasia that were ignored, he had views on the 12 or 11 list document of turkey that was fully embedied in the agreement. There was basically an attempt to make sure turkey agreed and the rest of the world were counting on what clerides promised which was a unconditional agreement from the greeks.
