I Would Like To See Turkey Join The EU

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

If you are referring to the isolation of TC's ... then I suggest you look again beacause if there are 120,000 TC's left in the North there's 200,000 Greek Speaking Cypriots whose rights and values are violated on daily basis by TC's and Turkey. So come again girlfriend.

It's not a matter of wanting more it's a matter of wanting what you have worked for very hard and it has been taken from you unjustly and illegally. I would like you to stop there for a moment think about my comment, think about if you are practicing what you are preaching to me about, being greatful and thankful for what you have and by that I do not mean a Greek Speaking Cypriot Refugee's property.

And actually I am beginning to like Papadopoulos, Cyprus is now in the EU and he is saying no to injustice.

By the way am coming over in the next month and would move into your home. Oh that's right you are so greatful and eveolved you are going to hand it to me, so no one gets into trouble, (how about that you would not care a bit about that would you unique, because you don't want to live in the past.

Nice to see that you too have jumped on the gravy train. Shame your carriages do not link up properly though. The Turkish Cypriots did not just walk in and take your property as you seem to suggest but most stayed out of them until recently because of the uncertainty of the situation. I and many TCs had the chance to buy up as much property as I wanted but refrained not because of any loyalty but because we were not sure we could hold on to it legally. I personally thought at the time that we would unite and everything would go back to normal so I suppose I had a little bit of respect for the owners if not for their government. After the Annan plan fiasco though, I saw it as the gloves coming off and that no solution will be found for a united Cyprus and no return for the refugees. Unfortunately now I cannot afford any of the land.............

Some people who post on this board really do not have a clue about Cyprus or about Cypriot politics (i am not referring to you, humanist). Allow me to explain what i mean. The president's party "diko" is actually a centrist party that formed a government with AKEL which is considered a communist party. You regularly hear AKEL party members shouting Turkish Cypriots are our brothers when their leadership talks. Let me once again state that DIKO ("TPAPS" party) has formed a government with AKEL. When i hear that well "TPAP" doesnt want a solution or comparing him to Denktash and what not......i cant help but chuckle. What do i mean....in the last election, some of the parties that gained big were "edek" and "euroko." edek is a socialist party. I had the pleasure of asking a party associate of edek what his views were on the Finnish proposal and i can say that i was honestly surprised by his comment. I will not go into detail but he rejected the proposal outright and wanted more concessions from the Turks. The other party that gained big was "euroko." Party members of this party bost about being a far right wing party. In fact, quite a few members left DISY to go with euroko (DISY being the party of past presidents like Clerides). It is worth noting that DISY has lost seats in the last election. Both of these parties (edek and euroko) rejected, in a much stronger tone, the AP. Back to those who havent a clue about Cypriot politics and wish the current government gone for what they wrongly perceive as being nationalist. I ask a very simple question...the alternative is what?

I suggest you rid your body and brains of the venom and start looking at the bigger picture.
