Just checked British Airways for the same dates as Tony has quoted. They have no flights to Paphos on those dates, but they do to Larnaca - £1253 for 2 !! And you thought Thomson were taking the p**s !!

Topkinisis Travel were offering Paphos - Gatwick/Manchester flights over the Christmas period for £79 + taxes in the newespaper; when I went on their website I could not see anything under £180!

I am flying BA to the UK for the Christmas vacation (ie Oxford St shopping!) for CY£160; I think Cy Airways were about the same price but from Larnaca.

There is an easy way round this. When you are here, phone the airline at least 3 days before the return flight is due and tell them that one of your party has been taken into hospital and may be in for 2 or 3 weeks. Postpone the return sine die and promise you'll contact them again when the person is fit to travel. They will then try to resell your seats and there will be no further charges - it works. (Or pay for your tickets in hard cash!!! :) )
