the anatolian bazaar continues..EU does not need any "reductions". It's ALL ports or none without any "reduction". This is not a bazaar, it is EU and if turkey does not want to join so let it be.

EU has some certain criteria needed, whether you like it or not you ll have to follow them or leave the game!

Ha ha, typical turkey eastern bazaar diplomacy... waiting for the very last moment to say the same thing only in a different sort of way just to make an impression.

talk about clutching at straws...they've proposed this 3 times already with a different heading. Its is no golden goal, its no masterful chess move, its the same bloody proposal we've already rejected 3 times. And you know why it will stay rejected? Becasue the only authority in the country that decides which of its airports and ports can be used is the ROC. As far as I know we've closed those 2 ports down in 74.

Are you crazy they are both open and working, you really need to visit and see for yourself. You may bury your head in the sand but those ports have been operative since 1974.

If you dont suceed first time try try again, the pressure will now increase on the GC run south to show everyone who is the blocking progress. Well played Turkey, rejection or not it will stir things up.

No VP you are crazy since you are illegally using the port and operating an airfield illegally.

If a couple of kids go and start using an old garage to fix their mates bikes without the owners consent, that doesn't mean the garage is operable again.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with bargaining. As someone said before these are the rules, if you wish to join you need to comply. If you wish to bargain then join the Joined market of the Turkmen states where you can all bargain to your hearts content.

Does seem like Turkey is trying to compare Apples with Bananas !?

How many ports in occupied Cyprus - one air, one sea ? Turkey wants 100% of the ports opened and used ?

How many ports in Turkey ? 8 sea ? 20/30 ? *

If Turkey wants to offer one sea (13% of capacity) and one air (4%) for Cyprus to use then Cyprus should counter "negotiate" as follows :

They will agree to "Ercan" being used for 15 days of the year (4%) and Famagusta in use for 48 days (13%).

Sound silly ? Well thats how Turkeys "offer" sounds to me.

* real figures requried to make sums accurate
