Larnaca airport chaos

Postby zoopigi man » Sat Dec 02, 2006 6:35 pm

Flew out of Larnaca airport a few weeks ago, and getting into the airport was utter chaos, due to the new extension works beginning. This extended to the roads around the airport. Can anyone tell me if it is just as bad or has it improved at all.

You should have been there when the shit was kicking off between the Jews and Hamass.
Those poor women and children
It was awfull
I am not on any side on that conflict
but how would you like to live on the floor iwith your kids in Larnaca airport for days.

I was there last Saturday and it was fine.

Sunday and Wednesday are the changeover days in the holiday season and they can be chaotic.

I note they have changed their parking fees – first 20 minutes free and 21 to 60 minutes CY£1 which seems quite sensible really.

Umm - I thought I was making an innocent enquiry as to whether the traffic circulation around Larnaca airport had improved from my previous visit. Sorry, but I hadn't realised that I was callously comparing the situation to the unfortunate circumstances that the refugees from the Lebanon found themselves in. If it came across as so then I apologise.

I was there monday night to fly to egypt, around 5pm and the works are still there but no traffic chaos..

These works are to bring the passenger drop off up to the 21st century, rather than the stone age facilities they have at present

;)
