Niki . I think , unless there are people who are prepared to stand up and be counted , Xmas could become extinct in the UK. There are the mentally disturbed council officials , most of them bloody foreigners , who year on year out contrive amongst themselves as to the best way to abolish Xmas. As always - and I'm a non believer - I shall decorate my shops with Xmas lights etc , and will , as always , reprimand Barclays Bank for not displaying any Xmas decor. Its the only time of the year that I believe in father Xmas ! Its a wonderful family celebration and an excuse , as if I needed one , to indulge in some serious wine tasting.
ps. love your dog ! mine is a boxer.

Miltiades

At least the religious leaders also think it's daft to forget about the 'Christmas' tradition and this includes Christian AND Muslim (Winterval, Luminos!!!!) - it's all far too PC for my liking. They wouldn't put lights on the tree in my local town in case someone tripped on the wire and sued the council.

At Christmas there is a more positive attitude and friendliness about everyone (well most people) and my girls just love it to bits. We play Christmas songs very loudly and dance around while we decorate the tree - fantastic.

Heres a cute rhyme I got in a card from my Grandson:

I made myself a snowball as oerfect as could be
I thought I'd keep it as a pet and let it sleep with me
I made it some pajamas, a pillow for its head
But then last night it ran away - but first.....
IT WET THE BED !!!

I love Christmas too!!!
