Turkey wrote the Annan Plan....

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

DT,
Thank you for the reply. In simple terms what changes to it would you have like to see to make it acceptable to you?

Screw the Annan Plan. It's even worse than the 1960 constitution!

Plan is, Turkish military out, same goes to the small number of Greek army in here, same for British and any other foreign force in here.
Then, all illegal immigrants, regardless of nationality will leave. Start the democracy from scratch.

Then, things will find the correct way, which time will show. These things have to happen first before any negotiations start... And negotiations should be just, not like the 1960 or the Annan Plan. But for the Turks it was a very nice gesture by the UN leader to hand them over what they don't deserve...

Wrong...

The countries currency would be Cyprus Pounds but Turkish lira deposits would be considered foreign currency and only converted on the instructions of the account holder.

Isyy 1956 , I think you are familiar with my views and you may have noticed that I was against the AP , in fact I was rather amused that the so called reunification plan was ever allowed to be put to the people of Cyprus. It was a fundamentally flawed plan that would have eventually , had it it been accepted , collapsed with perhaps dire consequences for the people of Cyprus. A plan that stipulated , very clearly , that 50 % of Police stations IN CYPRUS , would be administered by the G/Cs flying the ...GREEK FLAG ... and 50% by the T/Cs flying the ...TURKISH FLAG ... I ask you Issy , where would it lead to eventually. It was a disgraceful plan formulated by those who wanted to for ever bury the Cypriot identity , it was NOT A UNIFICATION PLAN and should you care to study just a few of the concepts encompassed in that ridiculous plan you will I'm certain draw your own conclusions. Pay particular attention to the administration of our roads in our Cyprus !!!

Further more any plan destined to have a reasonable chance of success must imperatively , unquestionably indelibly have the support of the majority . This plan did not.

and give GCs every thing they want, otherwise no plan will never be good enough...as the Gcs are the numerical majority.

Klik, I have read it and it makes much more sense than partition. Soon, the north will be inhabited by more than one million inhabitants and the vast majority will be from Turkey. Any remaining Turkish Cypriots will contest their properties in the south and they will get it, along with an EU passport that will be used to take them as far away as possible. In the meantime, Turkey will probably access the north (since her EU aspirations are not being realised) and the Greek Cypriots will have a 200 km border with Turkey.
