Turkey wrote the Annan Plan....

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby mehmet » Fri Dec 01, 2006 11:22 pm

Klik;

Cyprus is not Greek, last time I looked there was even a country in EU called Cyprus. If you want to sell your country to anotherstate feel free to agitate, you will keep your country divided for ever with your divisive comments. Like it or not you have to accept us as your compatriots, and if you don't you can keep your 60% with Turkey's blessing. You call me the child of a violater, I will leave it to your imagination to guess what I think you are the child of. Don't weep for Papadopoulos, he was there to negotiate. Annan Plan with Turkey written all over it my arse. You should be asking why your representatives couldn't do better for you.

Well said Mehmet. Klik is a kid. He has the venom of his parents in his body. I think it would be fair to forgive him for his arrogance and ignorance.

Klik I have to agree with some posts Cyprus is not Greek.

As far as Mehment comments go well .... You can be Cypriot compatriots if you choose to do so... However you are choosing to be separated or perhaps your regime is, I don't know that is a question Turkish Speaking Cypriots need to ask and answer for themselves. As far as negotiations go if it don't suit the British and the Americans nothing can be negotiated.

I cannot for the life of me comprehend how Annan thought that it is fair for Cypriot refugees not return to their properties and expected a yes vote. Anyway Annan just like most UN generals are mere pawns for US interest/ agenda in controlling and manipulating global politics.

You want a solution allow those refugees who want to return to their villages and properties, ask Turkey to remove its troops and replace them with UN and create a state where all Cypriots are free and enjoy equality in health education social and economic domains.

I speak some Greek Klik does that make me Greek? You talk nonsense, but as your obviously very young and misinformed, i too will let it go.. But i can definately see why cyprus will stay divided, even the very young are being poisoned by parents and society. If there is a joining of both sides it isnt going to be in our life time.. Cyprus is rapidly going to the dogs, tourism is down, The EU is growing tired of it and so are most other countries, Politicians are fools all over the world but here they are certainly trying to be first. Its obvious to me that Papadop doesnt want a union with the North, am i the only one who see's it?

Klik’s above provocative rubbish, foolish and idiotic comments are nothing less or more than the mirror image (a reflection) of the provocative rubbish, foolish and idiotic comments coming out of the mouths of people like Mrfromng, Murataga, Zan, bg_turk, etc. Each set of talking by the two groups is the mirror image of the other. They are just the two opposites of the same low IQ mentally retarded fanatic talking that exists along the spectrum of views coming out of the people in this country and in this forum.

Those who get offended by Klik's comments should equally get offended by the comments of the above mentioned opposites, and vice versa. Unless they are hypocrites or low IQ /EQ people!

Very nice responses.... Shows your "intelligence". First of all, what I said is mostly correct.

If you guys were an inch smart, you'd see that I was simply making an assumption about turkey and Papadopoulos... Just bother reading it again, or else you should be visiting a nice place called mental hospital...

A further clarification for the stupid ones:
Why do CYPRIOTS speak Greek, and why did even most of your ancestors spoke Greek? It's because the dominant language and culture in Cyprus was the Greek. Greeks settled a long while ago. 20 conquerors later, the Greek element is still the dominant.

The UN one day asked the Turks to go and live in Turkey or migrate somewhere else, since there was a long Greco-turkish history of conflicts, and since Cypriots wanted to be annexed by Greece.
But no, the Turks stayed in Cyprus after receiving grants and promises by turkish mainland... Promises which where only completed in 1974, partition of the island, to please both the Turks and in Cyprus, but Turkey in general. Since Turkey was then losing to the Greek rebels that repelled the Ottomans, it was nice for the Turks to beat Greece during that revolt... The outcome is people like you, claiming to be Cypriots(some of you are by law Cypriots)
And I repeat, you were accepted by the Cypriots, and all you do is brag about your pseudostate and say that some Cypriots were racists, for trying to join the Megali Idea of 1821... Cypriots are always late, so, sorry if it isn't very clear that what those nationalists tried to do is too complex for you historically clueless people... Enosis was not something new. It was part of the Megali Idea of 1821. Realise that in the eyes of Cypriots, you were Ottoman intruders. Now people do not care about that too much, they only want to return home, and don't care if you are alive or dead... People want to see the Turkish troops out first of all. But you know deep inside, that if the Turkish troops go out, you the Turks will pay a big price for all this violation of 30 so far or 400 so far(depends how each person sees it) You know that you are doomed, and you should have prayed that your ancestors had accepted a direct movement to Turkey when asked...

And btw, the Turks that lived all over Cyprus were sent to the north by the UN, not by Cypriots. On the other hand, the Cypriots lost a significant part of their country, and you, who claim to be our compatriots, celebrate that :!:  :!: Well, no fellow of mine would be happy with my displeasure. It shows directly what sort of people you are. You are just Ottoman Turks abandoned here by Turkey, nothing less, nothing more...

Humanist,

No one chooses any ethnicicity, your parents do that for you, all you can do is emigrate and adopt another country if yuu wish. My parents were born when Cyprus was part of British empire. They were never born into anything Greek or Turkish and in fact they speak both languages anyway. The separation is the result of political actions, and seeing as they both opted to leave in 1958/63 (much to the pleasure of Klik) they didn't even get to vote on Annan Plan. You are not consistent. Either you think the British and American's are in charge in which case why waste your time and energy having anything against the Turks or Turkish Cypriots. You overestimate the importance of Cyprus in world politics. The British and American's have got what they want already (bases etc), they are inconvenianced at all by Cyprus division. You think Annan wrote the plan himself with no involvement of others who were with him to negotiate on behalf of Cypriots? Yet again foreigners are blamed when you don't like outcomes (i.e. 1960 constitution). The Plan was the only offer and now we are backwards in terms of reaching solution.... waiting for the balance of power to shift etc.

Klik,

You can speak any language you want, you live in a state called Cyprus. Do you have a Greek passport? And yes we know very well that some of you tried to bribe us to leave the island so you could sell it to the Greek's and many took advantage. We are well aware that our relative poverty (in the good old days of united Cyprus) made remaining in Cyprus a difficult option. We also know Makarios leader allowed the enclaves to remain under economic pressure. I urge you to abandon your hostility to our community because your family will never see Cyprus united whilst your ideas have any influence on Cypriot society.

Cyprus united?

First of all, how can the Greek language prevail in Cyprus for 3000 years, under so many different conquerors? You can't answer that, you can only call me names for pointing out the truth  ...

America...? It was found by Spanish and Portuuese, then Dutch arrived, then English, then French and then many migrated or were sent there...
Australia... Similar story there.

They speak English as the language dominated over the years. It doesn't make them English, but it gives them a lot of common things with the English people.

Cyprus has a tradition of Greek langauge for over 3000 years. Cyprus had its own language before any Turk was alive on this planet. It was lost and Greek replaced it, in the BCs. Now we are in the 3rd millenium, and still speak the same language, despite all of us being children of various civilizations :!: We are not Greek, we feel connected to Greece because of language. Get that in your head, and then go check the bloody thing coz it's leaking.....
