No the English army is not OK and if there was no Turkish army in Cyprus there wouldn't be a need for the Greek army to be here.
But forget about drowing all settelers back ! They are living here for 30-20 years !
They are here as part of a colonising scheme and they haven't been here for 20-30 years. When Vassileiou was president of the Republic of Cyprus (1988-1993 I think) there were very few settlers in Cyprus, most of them arrived quite recently.
We'll live under what? Under where Greek Cypriots decides everthing and where we have only minority rights?
Are you forgetting that you ARE a minority and that somebody has to take the lead in some areas(of course that must be the majority, and no reasonable person would argue against that) ? Or would you prefer an equal power-sharing which is doomed to be ineffective and which would consequently revive the old hatred?
I am for a bi-zonal bi-communal federation but not the Annan type. It should be based on the Belgian model.
