You now admit that you are not a Cypriot and that you have permanently lost your Cypriot identity.
You talk about returning to your roots how about returning to your country also and leave Cyprus to the rightful owners , us Cypriots.
Very impressed with your worthily possessions isn't a shame that the vast majority of our people in the Turkish occupied part of Cyprus are not as lucky as you are , but may be they are just ordinary Cypriots who do not deserve a new Mercedes , a 5 bedroom villa etc etc.

The question was not do you want to become Turkish? is was you will lose your TC identity, well my opinion is that either way over time we will lose it, what TCs have to decide is do they want to become more Turkish than GC as either way we will be assimilated or influenced by the numerically larger population, to what degree that is really up to the indiviuall themselves. Thats why in the unlikely event of a solution being found it is paramount that we are able to control and influnece our own destiny without interference.

As for possessions I was joking just to drum home that TCs are much better off under the current status quo than they were living with GCs.

Get your pink coloured specs off and take a cold hard look at the situation no side is going to budge one inch and we will be here in 2020 2030 etc arguing the same old crap

Maybe we get some sort of distorted satisfaction out of torturing the other side, who knows....

How does one define culture and identity, they are both fluid and ever changing. Cypriot culture has changed and evolved over the years. I am sure that it is not the same now as was 32 years ago. My aunts who are all in the 70's plus all say hello when they answer the phone and say okay when appropriate and that is only a linguistic detail, Cypriot weddings have changed drastically over the years also another so called cultural shift. Is there such a thing as Cypriot culture or is it an illusion that there's a notion that culture exists? Which culture what about the punk identity gothic identiy, gay, staright, lesbian, spiritual, religious are they cultures and where does pne begin n end, how do they fit within the Cypriot culture. Waht is Greek/ Turksih Cypriot culture....... what is the need for some Greek Speaking Cypriots to identify as Greek and What is the need of some or possibly all Turkish Speaking Cypriots to identify as Turkis? Can the two identigy as European in which case there would not need to be a divison between them?

A nations identity is like a persons fingerprint , it is unique to that nation just as it is exclusive to that individual. There is a Cypriot identity just as there is a Maltese , Syrian , Greek , Turkish Bulgarian etc etc.
I resent the inference that we Cypriots do not have an identity and I strongly object to being classed as Greek or Turkish in my own country. The funny thing is that the entire world knows that there is such entity as Cyprus and it follows that if Cyprus exists then the Cypriot identity does too. The people in denial of their true identity have their faces buried in their prospective "motherlands " rear orifices and they would do Cyprus a favour by embracing their perceived identities and moving on to their motherlands.
