Hi Tony

I think it says, if you are not a Resident of Cyprus, notify them so that you do not pay the 10% Defence contribution, which applies to any interest on savings in Cyprus.

As Lana said the translation is :

You need to sign the questionairee that has been attached, to declare that you live abroad and therefore to be exempt for defence contributions.

Then you need to return the signed questionnaire by 30/11/2006 to :
Bank of Cyprus
POBox 21472
CY1599 Nicosia Cyprus

Otherwise you will be charged 10% on your interest for defence contribution according to the local legislation.

For more information call your Branch or the direct banking @ +357 22 848 000.

You have the option to have your bank statement translated to either
Greek or
English .
So ring your branch and let them know that you want all your statements in English!

All my bank statements are in English!
