New Year's Eve in Cyprus--What is there to do/Where to go?

Postby careylynn » Sun Nov 26, 2006 5:17 pm

Hello  ! This is my husband and I's first New Year's Eve in Cyprus and we are trying to find where is the best place to go on the island. We are both 30 years old and would like to find a place with people of similar age go for drinks and celebration on the night. We are currently living in Nicosia and would like to leave the city for New Years Eve be it Larnaca, Paphos, or Agia Napa. Any suggestions??!! :)

Thank You!!

There is a big dinner/dance at the Palm Beach hotel on Dhekelia Rd just outside Larnaca...

I went there one year. Not bad. Bit old though. Most clubs, bars etc are absolutely packed solid...you can't move once inside. Most people don't go out until after 12 as they spend the stroke of midnight at home with family and then head on out.

Speaking of clubs and bars, I'm going out in larnaca this weekend with my friends aged anywhere from 25-35 is there anywhere good in larnaca for a saturday night that is reasonably priced? We're looking for a fun spot.
Thanks!

Careylynn, I hear that the Queen's Bay hotel in Paphos (Coral Bay) is doing three nights for £75 inc all food and celebrations? Not sure of the average age though!! :)

I think orokliniservices said between 25 and 35, not 75 and 85 :p

Thanks all for the suggestions, please keep them coming :)! If nothing else, even just a recommended pub/club/bar that might have a good mix of 25-35 yr olds.... a mix of music would be great to be it british, american some greek... maybe i am asking too much?? just not sure what to expect!

Thanks again!!!

Nicosia is the place to be on new years.

although we usually end up in Finbarrs (need to book early) there's a lot of great clubs to go to depending if you like greek or english music.

everything needs to be booked very early though.
