HELP NEEDED ON THE DATE OF A TASSOS COMMENT

Postby Numbers » Fri Nov 24, 2006 6:05 pm

Hello all. I'm new to the Forum, or rather I have been an observer and now I am taking part. I think the Forum is great.
I am doing some research on the "bicommunal groups and yes voters take money from foreigners" accusations. I think it started with a comment made by Papadopoulos after the referendum in 2004. It was probably made in Larnaca. Does anyone have the exact or approximate date? thanks very much :)

The infamous ambient atmosphere that has fuelled the nationalistic sentiments of the extreme right that resulted among others in the atacks against the young TC pupils at the English School.

The Americans funded the "yes" campaign as they wanted the Cyprus issue to be closed before Cyprus entered the EU so Turkey would not have this problem in her EU accession process.

Some people got rich because of this, especially certain journalists.

This fact is the "common secret" of Cyprus.

You are talking rubbish Piratis and you know it. The money spent by the no campaigners is miles more. People who voted for a solution back in 2004 were hounded like criminals and were labelled as traitors by the partitionists that want a pure Greek Cyprus. We are now paying the penalty for this irrational behaviour and the distortion of the truth by our crying President. We have lost all our friends and the international community is pointing an accusing finger at our side. We have totally lost our credibility and this can only bring more harm to our side. Yet, you fail to see this simple truth and now your slogan is "sit tight and wait till the balance of power changes" because you realise deep down that your reactionary protege's policies have failed miserably.

Who is talking rubbish is you, since you are very upset that Turkey is not going to join the EU and your plans to partition Cyprus have failed.

Makarios Drousiotis and Loukas Charalambous, along with Cyprus Mail and Politis newspapers are bought and operated remotely by the Americans. Maybe you are upset that you didn't get the "victory bonus" since you failed to convince GCs to vote for your partition plan.
