Makarios Drousiotis and Loukas Charalambous, along with Cyprus Mail and Politis newspapers are bought and operated remotely by the Americans. Maybe you are upset that you didn't get the "victory bonus" since you failed to convince GCs to vote for your partition plan.

then kids go out and beat tcs and we are suddenly surprised

And TCs beat GCs ... to death, not bruises. So what is exactly your point?

Americans gave a lot of money. I have a relative who participates in some "bi-communal" thing. It is funded 100% by the Americans and all there are made to support the Annan plan. A few weeks ago the leaders of this group went to the USA for training. All expenses paid ;)

And I have a cousin too, who did not get a penny from the Americans and yet he voted yes to a solution. He must be crazy!

Yet, all the money that were spent in favour of a solution are well documented, and they are peanuts compared to the money the no campaigners spent. Despite all these, the essence remains, those that voted NO actually voted for the Turkish army to stay for ever in Cyprus and for our island to be permanently partitioned. This is what led Raouf Denktash to declare "I thank God the Greek Cypriots voted no". Piratis, wake up to the realities and stop dreaming of a change in the balance of power.

So out of all your relatives, including yourself, you only have one cousin that votes "yes", or he is the only one who didn't get paid while the rest did?

The Annan plan was a partition plan. Here is what Turkey's most popular journalist said about it:

Mehmet Ali Birand

Before the vote on the Annan plan, I personally believed the Turkish Cypriots were faced with a historic opportunity and did everything I could to ensure that the plan was a success. I believed that, with the plan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) would be able to stand on its own two feet. The KKTC would enter the European Union with Greek Cyprus and consequently, the Cyprus issue would no longer be an obstacle to Turkey's EU aspirations. I am still of the same opinion.

The Annan plan was a partition plan, put into referendum days before our EU accession, and had as an aim to close (not solve) the Cyprus problem so that Turkey would not have major problems in her EU accession effort.

No, partition is not what I want. And what talking about unification we would be doing after we would sign a partition agreement. You must be kidding, right?
